Japan is the leader by far in advanced imaging technology. As of 2014 Japan had approximately 101 CT Scanners per 1 million people and approximately 47 MRI machines per 1 million people, both were the highest of any of the OECD countries. However, they do rank 11th of the OECD countries when it comes to radiation therapy (Johnson, 2017).
