[Java] Please provide a comment on the miniessay below about Java.
I think one of the initial selling points or positive factors around using Java was writing once and compiling anywhere thanks to the nature of the language and compiler. While Python is taking over at an alarming rate, I'd say that the future of intro courses would be python, however, I think java is still a great language to learn because of it's complexity. Once you learn java, you can learn other languages a bit easier, but it's still more removed from machine language than C (if that makes sense). I don't think java is going anywhere, mainly for the legacy part of the code and still remains versatile. I feel like there seems to be a decline because Python is overtaking it in popularity. (JD)
