Jeffrey inherited an antique grandfather clock from his uncle. After some preliminary negotiation, on 20 March 2021 Jeffrey sent a fax to his friend, Khairy offering to sell the antique clock to Khairy for RM180,000.00. Jeffrey promised to keep the offer open for a week until 27 March 2021 for Khairy to think about it. Khairy only saw and read the fax on 22 March 2021. Then on 25 March 2021, Derick, Jeffrey's friend, telephoned Khairy and informed him that Jeffrey had sold the antique clock to him the day before for RM200,000.00. Khairy immediately on the same day itself sent a fax to Jeffrey accepting Jeffrey's offer to buy his antique clock for RM180,000.00. Jeffrey only saw the fax and read Khairy's acceptance on 28 March 2021. Advise Khairy whether there was a valid contract between him and Jeffrey. This is business law subject and since this is 30 marks question, can I know how to answer it ?
