Jessica just passed her BCBA exam and has taken her first job in a clinic. She is given a new client, who is receiving in home ABA therapy from two behavior therapists. The therapists each have reported numerous interruptions by the parents during their therapy sessions - they come into the room and interact with their child, causing a distraction. It takes several minutes or more after they leave to get the child back on task. The therapists state that they have tried to communicate that this disruption is interfering with their programming and to wait for them to take a break but the behavior continues.
