In an attempt to improve its profitability, the president of Jester Company made the following changes for 2023: 1. increase the selling price of the product by 25% 2. use higher quality materials in the manufacture of the product which increased the variable costs by $8 per unit 3. increase advertising by $34,000 As a result of these changes, the sales in units of this product in 2023 increased 15% from the sales in 2022.
