Job $2-1$ Organization Chart

Organization charts help those inside and outside of an organization understand the reporting structure within a company. You will create an organization chart that will be distributed to all employees.

Start a new Word document. Use landscape oriuntation and set left, right, top and bottom margins at $.5".$

Insert the Organization Chart using the Hierarchy group of SmartArt.

Fill in the chart using the information shown in Figure $2-1.$ Use the Add Assistant option in the Add Shape list for each administrative assistant. Use the Add Shape Below option in the Add Shape list for all of the other entries. Notice that the administrative assistants report to their managers but no other reports to the administrative assistant. Your chart structure should look like or similar to Figure $2-1$ at this point.

Using options on the Design tab, change the colors to your liking.

Above and to the left of the chart, insert a text box. Enter Star River Resort in a $36-$point, bold font on the top line, and Organization Chart in a $28-$point, bold font below it$.$ Remove the border $($shape outline$)$ from the text box. $($Hint: the organization chart cannot be selected when you insert the text box.$)$

Name the chart Job$2-1$OrgChart$\_$Your Name, save a copy in your Marketing and Communications folder, and upload to this dropbox.
