Job costing A consulting firm has the following condensed budget for 2011: Revenues RM21,250,000 Total costs: Direct Costs Professional Labour RM 5,312,500 Indirect Cost Client support RM 13,600,000 Rent and Utilities RM600,000 RM 19,512,500 Operating income RM 1,737,500 The company has a single direct-cost category (professional labour) and a single indirect-cost pool (client support). Indirect costs Client support are allocated to jobs on the basis of professional labour costs. Rent and Utilities are paid at the end of each month and allocated to jobs based on the number of hours of each Job. The rent cost is based on 20 working days and 8 hours per day.
