In Class Activity Requirements (Individual)

The objectives of the first in class activity are careers in banking services and banking regulation. For this assignment each member of your group is required to summarize either a separate career opportunity available in your group bank or a financial regulation case for your chosen financial institution (your group). For a group of four members you will need four separate summaries of different examples from your group financial institution ideally two career opportunities and two banking regulations.

Here is what you need to do in relation to this assignment:

* Find an article in one of the resources listed on the syllabus (Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Economist and American Banker) or other similar sources discussing a banking regulation case for your group bank.

* Summarize the article and list its association to specific banking regulation e.g., USA Patriot Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Money Laundering Control Act, etc.

* Find a career opportunity posted for your group financial institution. If you cannot locate a job posting for your group bank you can search for available positions in other banks (not listed as group banks) or in industry regulatory authorities. Include a separate summary for each position.
