John is a member of a project 1 team. When he attends the team meetings, he participates fully and has no problem volunteering to take on tasks. However, he is often late for meetings, arriving as much as 30 minutes late. He explains his lateness has to do with work-related issues and then goes on to explain what the issue was. This frustrates some of the team members as the interruption means they have to go back and provide John with an update to get him up to speed on the discussion that took place. Sometimes this extra time causes the meeting to go into overtime. Other team members complain that they too are very busy at work but that they feel very committed to the task of completing the project case and therefore ensure they arrive on time to the meetings.
