4, Weight Craze 2000 is a weight loss drug made by Quality Care Products, Inc., a New Jersey corporation, and marketed through MBI Industries, another New Jersey corpolation. Enticed by Florida newspapers ads for Weight Craze, the wife of John Wilson bought the drug at a CVS in Florida. Within a week, Wilson suffered a ruptured colon. Alleging that the injury was caused by Weight Craze, Wilson sued CVS, MBI, the officers and directors of Quality Care, and others in Florida state court.
