An application of the protocol has been done byCastro Campos (2022) This section contains the flowchart (see Figure 1) of your systematic literature review and briefly summarizes the three main phases of a systematic literature review: assembling, arranging and assessing. It has a length of 2 to 3 pages including Figure 1.

  1. Assembling the literature

After you have identified your topic of interest, you will start with the literature review following the SPAR-4-SLR protocol byPaul et al. (2021). For the literature review, you can use Web of Science:https://www-webofscience-com.ezproxy.uni-giessen.de/wos/woscc/basic-search or tools likehttps://app.litmaps.com. You select the literature that is relevant for your topic of interest, describe the "assembling process" and specify it in the protocol (Figure 1). This section is 3 to 5 pages long.

  1. Arranging the literature

Once you have selected the articles relevant to your analysis, download them and save them in a folder. Then take a first look at the content of the articles and document them according to table 1. It is advisable that the numbering of the articles in the folder is the same as in table 1. Create a bibliometric overview of your articles and describe them using the information you have collected in table 1. Describe here especially the quantitative information of the articles listed in table 1. The journal citations are available in WOS and it is advisable to note them down as soon as you download the article. This section has a length of 3 to 4 pages.
