"Kleenex product design division wished to reduce the size of their standard pack of tissues but want to provide enough tissues in a pack to cater for one individual having a common cold. How does Kleenex decide how many tissues to put in each box?

Marketing experts at the company use the results of a survey of Kleenex customers to help determine how many tissues are packed in a box. The recorded survey data is stored in tissues.csv datafile. This dataset contains the observed values of the variable, X = the number of tissues used by a consumer during a period when they have a cold, recorded for a sample of individuals."

tissues.csv (Please see numbers attached below)

Use R or other software to analyse your dataset. Then fill in the blank space in the sentence below by choosing the right answer from the following options:

The average number of tissues used by this sample of [a]... consumers is [b]... and the standard deviation of the number of tissues used by consumers in this sample is [c]... .

The standard error of the sample mean is [d]...

After calculating a 95% confidence interval we can conclude that it is quite likely that the average number of tissues used by all Kleenex consumers during a period when the consumer has a cold is between [e]... and [f]... tissues.
