Turkyah's baby was delivered stillborn, while she suffered injuries, including haemorrhage and uterine rupture. She filed the suit last January, initially seeking RM10 million in damages but later reducing it to RM5 million.Turkyah's expert witness, Dr J. The drug, according to court documents, was registered with the Drug Control Authority of Malaysia for treatment of duodenal and gastric ulcers and should not be used to induce labour. Rosilah, while in chambers yesterday, ordered Dr Seri Suniza to pay Turkyah RM200,000 in general damages and RM80,000 in damages for pain and suffering. She was also ordered to pay Turkyah RM25,000 in costs. Turkyah's counsel, Abdul Razak Hashim, said Rosilah said Dr Seri Suniza took full responsibility for the medical negligence when she admitted liability on June 2. Dr Seri Suniza was represented by counsel P. Bavina.
