KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 31): Malaysia reported a new record high of 2,525 Covid-19 cases today, about half or 1,205 from Selangor, according to Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a statement today. And eight more deaths were recorded. The latest daily addition is 190 cases more than the countrys previous record high of 2,335 cases, which was recorded on Saturday (Dec 26). With the new infections, Malaysia's confirmed Covid-19 cases pushed past the 113,000 mark to 113,010, with death toll rising to 471. Five more clusters found, three linked to the workplace The Health Ministry also identified five more new Covid-19 clusters, three of which are linked to workplaces in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Johor.
