La Ville Noire Pharmacy is a new drugstore situated in the southern part of Mauritius, has created a high customer base in the provision of medical related services. The pharmacy has currently employed three dispensers, one pharmacist and one clerical officer. The owner of the pharmacy, Mr. Marudai uses a manual system to store medical items and related transactions due which he faces much difficulties where often customers complain of the tardiness in service delivery. As such, Mr. Marudai has decided to setup a pharmacy information system as a turnkey where he could perform all the necessary day to day transactions.

The setting up of an information system aims to provide the necessary impetus at the pharmacy in terms of drugs sales and stock, customers' transactions, effectiveness of the system to serve the population in the south eastern part of the country to the best of its purpose. As such, a project management is deemed to be necessary in view to meet the objectives, mission and vision of the pharmaceuticals. The proposed system, its cost of development and implementation is subject to the availability of the necessary information (Burke, 2009).
