At the beginning of the Lab, your Lab instrutor will provide your team with an ASCI character to display onto the $7-$segment display.

Each time the corresponding key in the keypad is pressed, the $7-$segment display should display the value of that key. In case no key is pressed or if any other key is pressed the $7$ segment display shall keep displaying the character $"F".$

For instance: If you Lab instructor provides you with the character $"D",$ then:

As far as a user presses on the key $"D",$ the letter $"D"$ is shown in the $7-$segment display

When the user releases the key $"D",$ the letter $"F"$ should be displayed

If the user presses any key other than $"$D$","$F$"$ should be displayed

If the user presses again on $"D",$ then the letter $"D"$ should be displayed again
