Lana is an engineer with an idea for a kind of electric vehicle using a brand new electric operating mechanism. Lana appears on Shark Tank to get money to put into producing and distributing her new vehicle. From her appearance, Lana receives enough money to make 20 vehicles, to compose a jingle for the vehicles, and to advertise the vehicles on television. Lana calls her new vehicle, the Electric Greenvan, and creates a mascot who is a bolt of lightening. Lanas first 20 vehicles sell fast and she realizes she needs to hire a large staff to assist in expediting production. Lana incorporates her business into a corporation also called Electric Greenvan and decides to sell stock in the corporation. Many qualified engineers apply for the positions Lana opens, but Lana decides she will only hire female engineers under the age of 35 in an effort to promote her vehicle as young and hip. She hires 100 women under the age of 35. Anthony is 42 years old, of mixed-race descent, and identifies as a transgender female. She desperately wanted a job at Electric Greenvan and believed she was well qualified for the position, but was not offered a position. After about 4 years, Lanas team of engineers discovers a malfunction in the electric vehicle. It turns out the electric mechanism they had used only has a lifespan on 5 years and then dies, making the entire vehicle unusable. Lana knows this will cause Electric Greenlands stock to plummet, so she calls all her friends and family members and tells them to unload their stock before the news breaks.
