Last four digits are 1061 Thanks again for all your help you are awesome!

image text in transcribed This project is intended to acquaint you with stock screeners, programs that find stocks that match criteria that you specify, and with a widely used stock information and recommendation source, Value Line. For this project you are to use the Yahoo Finance stock screening tool and information from the Value Line Investment Survey to make a stock selection. You can access the screener at: Yahoo Finance / My Screeners / Equity Screener Although there are many choices for the screening criteria, for illustrating the use of screeners in this project, you are to use these four: P/E Ratio Beta Return on Equity Long-Term Debt / Equity Since each student's selection should be unique, your screening criteria will be arbitrarily based on the last four digits of your student ID, based on the following. If the format of your ID is like YYYYX1X2X3X4: If X1 is between 0 - If X1 is between 5 - If X2 is between 0 - If X2 is between 5 - If X3 is between 0 - If X3 is between 5 - If X4 is between 0 - If X4 is between 5 4, select the P/E Ratio range 0 -20 9, select the P/E Ratio range 20 - 50 4, select the Beta range .2 - .8 9, select the Beta range .8 - 1.2 4, select ROE between 8 - 12% 9, select ROE between 14 - 16% 4, select LTD / Equity between .5 and 1 9, select LTD / Equity between 1 and 1.5 Obviously, this arbitrary selection of screening criteria may not produce desired results, but keep in mind that this is a game designed as a test run on using a stock screener. Select one from the list of firms displayed as a result of the screen and make a note of the company name and ticker. Next, access the Value Line data available on line from the UNT Libraries at www.library.unt.edu. At the library home page: Select Databases Enter Value Line Click on Connect to Value Line If the \"Welcome University of North Texas\" message is displayed, enter your firm's ticker in the \"Quote\" box. If not, click on \"Sign In\" and then enter the ticker. A report on your firm will be displayed (If the firm you selected is not available in Value Line, just select another one from your screener list). Find the following in the Value Line report: Timeliness, Safety, and Technical Indicators (\"1" is best, \"5" is worst) Rank in Industry Financial Strength Most importantly you should read the analyst's opinion and comments at the bottom. Based on the Value Line information and the results of your screen, write a 275 - 300 word report on the stock that you select. Your report should contain references to your information sources. If you quote information from the Value Line Analyst's report, make an explicit reference to the analyst and report, (e.g. \"According to Value Line Analyst Jane Analyst, in the report dated yyyymmdd, .....\"). Your report could be positive or negative about the firm. Using the Blackboard Assignment tool, submit your report, a copy of the Yahoo screener output that shows your screening criteria, the firm you selected (if the list is lengthy, you don't need to print all of it, just the page with the firm you selected), and a copy of the Value Line report for your firm. Submissions must be in Word, Excel, or PDF format
