After class on 23 December, Jenny and Emily went to join a Christmas party with their friends in Causeway bay. They took the mini-bus to meet their friends. Jenny was wearing a very long Christmas costume. When Jenny got off from the mini-bus, the driver shut the door too fast and did not realize that her dress was caught by the bus door. Jenny fell off the bus and broke her right arm and front teeth. Emily also felt dizzy when she saw Jenny having a broken arm and blood in her mouth. Both Jenny and Emily were admitted to theHospital, claiming that they would not able to do their Business Law examination and have to forgo their earnings from the part-time jobs in the coming months.

According to the general principles of Tort Law:
