As Maisel, (2011) points out, "normal" for any individual or group is not based on what is stereotypical for a similar person or group but rather based off of collective data from that individual or group. Thus when an organization chooses to make a cultural change they are shifting "normal" and must change the attitudes of all of the employees and once accomplished are able to set a new "normal" for the organization which would be the last thing that happens in the change process. Changing the attitudes of all employees is very difficult. It takes considerable effort and an effective strategy. What types of attitudes do you think are the most challenging to change?
