Store manager, Mr. Leblanc, at one point observed Harry shopping in the isle of the store where watches and jewelry are sold. Upon completing his shopping and paying for the purchased items. then in bags, Harry proceeded to the back of the store and entered the customer washroom Although Leblanc did not see Harry enter the washroom, he did witness him leave with his bags and start towards the exit. Lehlanc's suspicion was aroused. Immediately he entered the washroom but found that neither the toilet nor the sink had just been used. However, up on checking the garbage container he found the packaging of a store watch on top of other trash. Leblanc, together with two other store employees, followed Harry outside the store. As they approached, Leblanc said to Harry, "I'm investigating a theft." Harry was cooperative. No physical force was used during the search of Harry's shopping bags. Harry willingly opened his shirt when asked to do so. The stolen merchandise was not found either on Harry's body or in his shopping bags.
