Leisure and Cultural Services Department's 2023 "Ice Sports Promotion Month" Plan

In recent years, due to the impact and restrictions of COVID-19, the quality of national sports in Hong Kong has declined. In view of the obvious improvement of the COVID-19 situation this year, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department intends to take this opportunity to further upgrade their program on the basis of the original "Sports for All Day" and become this special program (Ice Sports Promotion Month) . Ice sports in Hong Kong have never received much attention, and the performance of the Hong Kong team in the Winter Olympics is even more unsightly. This project aims to assist Hong Kong people to resume their participation in sports activities through ice sports that Hong Kong people are less exposed to, such as ice hockey, figure skating, speed skating, curling, etc. Come, discover more potential citizens to participate in the Winter Olympics. This is the first time in history that the Leisure and Cultural Services Department has independently vigorously promoted ice sports!

Project Objectives:

Raising awareness of ice and snow sports in Hong Kong

Cultivate youth's interest in ice and snow sports

construction of ice sports facilities to complement this promotion

Promote with current elite ice athletes,Adding to the atmosphere of winter sports in Hong Kong

Through this activity, immediately test and discover potential ice athletes
