Incident Report

To: Mr. Ron Marx

From: Ms. Shelby Williams

Subject: Altercation with stranger in the hallway

Date: October 20, 20XX

I am writing to report an altercation with a stranger in the hallway of the Stratson Building on October 20, 20XX.

Last Tuesday, I was going to my meeting. As I made my way to the elevator, I saw a person I had never seen before in the hallway, probably a criminal. She was dressed in a bright red suit, and her hair and makeup were like that of someone struggling with a drug or alcohol addiction. She seemed to be under the influence. I didn't smell anything on her but a lot of perfume, but she was staggering from wall to wall. I asked her if I could help her.

She responded that she was fine, then started saying wild things. I knew she was probably dangerous, and I didn't want to endanger myself. I have taken a self-defense class, and I thought about attacking her and getting her prone on the floor, but I decided not to.

Instead, I found a security guard, I can't remember who, but he has the dark hair and nice face, and we went looking for the criminal mastermind who had invaded our building and was certainly going to hurt someone or something.

I was late to my meeting, but you can certainly understand why.

Directive

To: Sarah Smart

From: Dennis Romer

Subject: Security in GTM 207

Date: July 7, 20XX

After careful consideration, we have determined that the following 7 steps will increase security in the Benfield Auditorium. We would like to adapt these policies and hope you will except our recommendations and allow us to precede. We thought about many criterion when we made these decisions.

1. Affective immediately, the company will install more secure coded locks on the doors to these rooms. These locks have all ready been purchased and are a waiting installation. These new locks will assure that the room is secure.

2. Persons wishing to use the Benfield Auditorium will undergo an orientation that will compliment the physical security measures. If we had of done this before, we could of prevented the theft that occurred. If our employees are discrete, they can prevent any more theft from occurring.

3. The employee who cleans the Benfield Auditorium will fill out a short checklist siting that she has seen each piece of equipment every day and weather the equipment is in good condition when she cited it.

With these procedures in place, their shouldn't be any more theft.

Meeting Minutes

Minutes of the Glee Club, Kennesaw State University

January 15, 20XX

In attendance:

Marty Spriggs, President

June Ballast, Vice President

Dena Wilson, Secretary

Melinda Morris, Treasurer

Jim Carsen, Cynthia Nguyen, Sally Trutherwell, Casey Dixon, Sam Tinterfuller, Bev Zender, Allison Whitney, Levi Webre, Alex Fox, Joshua Azriel, Laronda Tucker, Gladys Edeh, Kyle Cooke, Minnie Lu Drye.

The meeting began at 2:45, even though it was scheduled to begin at 2:30. We had to wait for enough people to come to constitute a quorum.

The first item on the agenda was the proposed increase in the cost of monthly parking permits on campus. This year it will be $28 per month, an increase of $3 over last year's monthly feeds. The university's plan to increase the parking price is ridiculous. I know we can park for $5 a month off campus and ride a free shuttle to campus, but who wants to do that? Honestly. We have seen tuition and room and board increases, and now this. A resolution was passed unanimously to protest this increase. O

The discussion turned next to the schedule for next semester. Jim commented that there were too many hip hop acts and not enough metal. He said, "A little hip hop goes a long way." Cynthia was insulted by Jim's comment. She responded, "What do you want, some idiot in leather who bites the heads off chickens on stage?" She added that hip hop acts are popular with the entire community, while metal acts have a smaller audience and do not generally make back the money it costs to book them. With the current policy of up-front deposits required by Shady Hat Productions, we have to be sure we don't book any weak acts, which would cost us our whole budget for the year. Jim said he didn't mean to downplay the importance and talent of hip hop artists. The two agreed to continue discussing the issue.

The meeting adjourned at 3:45.

Phase two of the construction of the open educational resource technical writing project is going great! Even the usability testing!

So far we have assembled the various textbook components (chapters, graphics, samples) into ePub3 format, placed them on the website, and applied the draft template. When we finished this, we decided we need to do the following revisions:

  • The graphics need to be made accessible
  • The draft template needs our logo
  • Sample documents need to be added in the memo and recommendation report chapters

We will make these revisions soon, and then we start phase three!

Subject: Inquiry about Robo-83

Date: November 10, 20XX

I am writing to you because Robotech, Inc. has a good reputation in product quality, and several of my friends have recommended your new Robo-83 as a Christmas gift to my daughter. However, I have a few concerns about the product, and wanted to get answers before buying. Would you be able to answer the following questions about Robo-83?

1. The recommended age on the product is 10+, however I have seen several kids play with Robo-83 and it doesn't look unsafe for younger ages. Can you tell me why this product is not recommended for ages under 10?

2. Will a rechargeable version of the Robo-83 be released in the near future?

3. What is included in the packaging of the Robo-83?

Because Christmas is rapidly approaching, and I would like the chance to order online with time for shipping, I would greatly appreciate your help in answering these questions by November 30. Your assistance will help me in choosing the perfect gift for my daughter, who is a robot enthusiast.

The response was:

Subject: Response to Inquiry about Robo-83

Date: November 20, 20XX

I am writing to answer your questions about Robo-83.

1. The recommended age on the product of 10+ is because the product is too complicated for children under 10, particularly little girls. They are just not smart enough to handle the controls on Robo-83.

2. It's too expensive to make a rechargeable Robo-83.

3. If you just go to any store that sells Robo-83, you would see what it comes with.

If you would like more information, go tohttp://robotech.com/robo-83.
