A warden and housekeeper, Richie and Rina were employed to care for the boys. On another occasion, the local council had implemented strict regulations and had prohibited employees from allowing unregistered guests on the premises. Rina, regularly brings her 14 year old daughter, Joanna, to help with the housekeeping and cooking. On one instance, whilst lifting a hot pot of porridge, Joanna slipped. The hot pot of porridge fell on her and she was severely scalded. She was rushed to Lewisham Medical Centre for treatment and she now needs skin grafting.
Advise the local authority in respect of their liabilities to the affected parties.
