Licent Inc.the manufacturer of watering and irrigation supplies has planned to improve its manufacturing process by minimizing defects. At this time, the company targets the manufacturing of expandable flexible water hose with 25 mm inner diameters. A tolerance of 3 mm above or below 25 mm is acceptable to purchasers. The mean and standard deviation of the manufacturing process (assuming normal distribution) are calculated to be 29 mm and 1 mm respectively.

The company decided to hire you to establish factors that significantly impact the defectives so it can create data driven quality strategy to improve its existing process.

In specific, you will do the following:

1. Determine if in average, the company's products meet consumer preferences or not. Explain why
2. Data set provided show a number of variables that are perceived to impact the defectives in the company manufacturing process.

• Create visualizations to explain the variables and or show relationships between defective pipes and other variables
• You can create histograms, line graphs, scatter plots, etc.
• Conduct statistical analyses to determine the relationships
• Conduct causal-effect analyses, i.e.,
• Correlation and regression analyses (Between defective pipes and other variables
• One way ANOVA to determine if suppliers have anything to do with the defects
• Contingency Analysis to find out if there is any relationship between the suppliers and machine bottlenecks
