There are better solutions to this than banning the poor misunderstood animal. As a society, we should be able to develop different options. There are also more reasons this happens than just the breed of a dog, or that they are aggressive. Banning Pitbulls doesn$$t make the communities safer, it$$s a distraction from legislation and policies, and it's expensive to enforce. Communities aren$$t safer, especially when this treats the result and not the cause. In Florida, they had a ban on Pitbulls since the $1980$s$,$ but Miami$-$Dade County still euthanized about $800$ illegally owned Pit Bulls
