List 5 grades each between 50-100 in columns A1 to A5 in an excel spreadsheet. To find the mean rounded to the hundredths by typing this in a cell

=average(A1:A5)

and hit enter, Then round 2 places to get the average or x bar.

To find the sample standard deviation type this in a cell

=stdev.s(A1:A5)

and then hit enter to find s

To find the z score given x =82, type this in a cell but instead of the variables use the numbers you found for xbar and s and let x = 82 =(x-xbar)/s

then hit enter. This is the z score

To find the z value

type this in a cell

=norm.s.dist( z , true)

and hit enter

This would give you the same value as if you used the chart.
