Little Lin and her mother have just moved into a new apartment and haven't had time to have family visits. Lin is happliy telling her out-of-state aunt about her holiday apartment decorations. Lin doesn't understand her aunt's perspective, or seem to know that talking on the phone doesn't allow her aunt to visualize the arrangements. It's almost as if Lin doesn't understand that her aunt does not share her experience even if she is able to tell her aunt details about the decorations
