You are employed at Happy Attorneys as an Associate, fresh out of EDLS, hence the senior Partner asked you to help the Accounts Officer with preparing the Bank Reconciliation for November 2020. The bank statement shows a balance of $3,689.50 and the Cash Book balance was overdrawn with a balance of ( $301.70.
Your investigation revealed the following:
The Bank statement shows overdraft interest of $124.60
Cheques# 147 for $600.00; #148 for 359.00 and # 150 for $641.40 did not appear on the bank statement.
Cheque # 143 raised for $1,906.00 to John Bull for stationery was wrongfully posted in the Cash Book as $1,609.00
There were bank charges of $85.6 for the month on the bank statement.
The firm deposited customer cheques totaling $1,267.00 on November 30th nightly deposit but the entry did not appear on the bank statement.
A customer in Freeport (Harry Sands) had sent a payment of $575.00 on account throug the Freeport Branch of our bank on November 28th, the firm was not notified until the entry appeared on the bank statement.
A Note Receivable from Matilda Smith appeared on the bank statement totaling $3,590.00- the par value of the Note was $3,500.00 and interest of $90.00.
Required:
