1. Mead theory is a sociological theory that explains how the self emerges from social interactions. He states that self develops through a series of stages which start in childhood and lead to creating one's own perspective of others and becoming aware of their own social roles. I like to think about how individuals are born with nothing but have so my purpose in this life. (Anup, 2021). My development of self started changing from my original self-due to my parent's guidance, sibling's shared memories, educational exposure, dating life, adult experiences, and creation of my own family. Aging along has bought me good and bad experiences, but I hold them both dearly because they do play a part in who I am today. Growing up in a lower income area, I learned life lessons earlier than I should have which led me to navigate through life surviving and not living. Today, I started a self-journey of loving and discovering me. I never would learn how beautiful life is without the experiences I had. I am a hard and honest worker that cares a great deal about others. I have chosen to devote my life to being the aid to others in need which has led me to my career field of choice, social work.

2.. George Herbert Mead believed that people develop self-images through interactions with other people. He argued that the self, which is the part of a person's personality consisting of self-awareness and self-image, is a product of social experience( Appelrouth & Edles, 2020). Mead emphasized the particularly human use of language and other symbols to convey meaning. The behavior is mostly developed through sociological experiences and encounters. These experiences lead to individual behaviors that make up the social factors that create communications in society. Children develop from babies to adults through the help of people we are surrounded around to teach us how to behave and act. As humans, we are taught to imitate the behavior under which we are able to learn the concept of how to use the behavior in the appropriate matter. I learned a lot from my parents growing up. It's a shame cause if people were raised by good people around them, they still chose to behave in the matter they shouldn't, would that be the explanation for crime and hate.

3. The Mead's Theory is all about this girl/women around others. The explanation"refers to this as the "I" and the "me" phase. The "I" is the answer to the "me," which is the interpersonal Self. Put another way, "I" is a person's reaction to other people's emotions, whereas "me" is the ordered set of those perceptions that one acquires. How one assumes one's organization sees oneself is what one refers to as the "me," which is the total of the." The I stands for how I feel around other people, and the me is me being understood by others. Sometime I have thoughts when talking to someone as if I've had this conversation before. "I" and "me" are constantly interacting, and this interaction is what we refer to as the "stream of thought.

4. Goffman made a great point of the fact that life can very well simplify be a performance and everyone is cast members. In my opinion, he shined lighton the great awareness of people being aware of their own essences of how they behave in front of people and in private. There is a golden question to follow. If we are all just actors trying to control others' view of ourselves, what does it say about self-integrity and consistency. In summary, our surroundings may change but our personality stays the same. Learning about the front and back stages, I couldn't help but think about my own behaviors in some settings

5. This video is very helpful and insightful. I am a firm believer that people change due to their interactions with others and the environment in which they spend most of their time in. The outside society can heavily influence the person who they choice to become. For example, my childhood friend and I grew up in the same neighborhood, went to the same school, dressed similarly and shared the same friend group but we turn out verydifferently. She used the reality of our hard upbringing to explain why she chose a life of crime, violence, and drug use. I used the same realityto get as far away from it because I wanted to live a life of calmness, seek out degrees and aim for choosing a career field to improve my quality of life. For her, she viewed life as hard and demanding and it was no sense of trying because she would just end up like her parents and others in the neighborhood. I took my experience as motivation because I believed life had so much more to offer. In some areas of my life, I admit that my experience from my childhood, in a way, still influences some choices I make in life

6. When looking at impression management and the presentation of self from Goffman's perspective, we are considering that a person puts on a show depending on who they are interacting with. Presenting only parts of themselves that they want to be seen or known according to their definition of the situation. In comparing his theory to that of the theater the front stage is the setting and the way that the person carries themselves in order to convey the image they want. The setting brings credibility to the performance, such as through the clothes they wear or the behaviors they perform. In looking at the backstage the person can relax. Backstage is who we really are, not who we are trying to portray in order to obtain the reaction that we want from others.
