M7 - Opportunities in Organizational Change

Week 7 continues with the research you are doing with the sameorganization (Kids Empowerment Foundation KEF).Our examination of organizational challenges turns from the inanimate side (ie: problems, vision, mission, values, and strategies) to the human side and resistance humans experience during times of change.

When looking at the employee (stakeholder) side of the equation, we see issues that impact culture, organizational efficiency, morale, employee retention, and absenteeism. Additionally, when the leaders in the organizations initiate a change strategy, it is the employees who will ensure the changes occur.

For your initial post this week, identify something from this week's course content that has resonated with you and determine how it could potentially make an impact on the challenge you are presently trying to solve for your organization. Kids Empowerment Foundation KEF is a nonprofit organization that aims to empower underprivileged children by providing them with education, healthcare, and other essential services. KEF is a London-based nonprofit organization that improves the lives of kids and young adults with learning and physical disabilities and their families. KEF is committed to providing its members with companionship, enjoyment, and opportunities that support their growth and enable their parents and families to take much-needed breaks. KEF offers leisure activities, sleep-away camps for the summer and winter, and out-of-school programs. The organization's vision is a world where every child has an equal opportunity to succeed and thrive. KEF organizational stakeholders complained about ineffective communication and collaboration among different departments. This problem impacts the organization's efficiency and effectiveness in delivering its programs and services to the target beneficiaries.
