- Make comments and respond to your peers, providing feedback on what they posted.
For the final project, I chose to analyze the company, Valpak. Valpak is a leading marketing company that is headquartered in Florida and aids approximately 54,000 businesses a year with their marketing desires (Cobb, 2015). In researching the various project management methodologies that could be applied to the final project scenario I selected, I found that a combination of approaches would best suit the needs of Valpaks vision.
Valpak, as it evolves and grows in the digital savings marketplace, needed more than one project approach in order to fit the complex needs of the organizational vision for evolution. Because of this, traditional project management (TPM) would not be a good fit as the company needs to embrace change and flexibility and remain relevant in the market space. With the need for better agility, the switch to an Agile Enterprise vision is better suited for Valpak through the implementation of the Scaled Agile Framework. (SAFe). This blended agile approach featuring Scrum and Kanban teams better fits the needs and vision of the company culture to evolve and grow. Valpak identified the need to use two different development processes in order to better fit the needs of the business. A Kanban process is crucial for running the business efforts, instead of Scrum, which is used for exploratory development, because the needs are very different (Cobb, 2015).
