and fridge. He then agreed to pay for both goods by instalment. The owner of the

shop, Chong, later requested him to sign a blank hire purchase agreement. Chong

informed Zaki that the detail of the agreement would be inserted later. He also

promised Zaki that a copy of the agreement would be sent to him by post within

one week. Two weeks later, Zaki found that the fridge was seriously defective,

and the oven had a problem with the sensor temperature and failed to heat up.
