Consider a refinery that has the choice of processing four different crudes in any proportion it chooses. The yield and availability of each crude is shown in Table 1 For example, there are 35,00 barrels of crude 4 available for processing each day and for every 100 barrels processed, 25 barrels of gasoline, 29 barrels of heating 011,20 barrels of jet fuel, and 15 barrels of lube oil are produced. Table 2 lists the total processing costs, wholesale price and total maximum market demand for gasoline, heating oil, jet fuel, and lube oil. For example, jet fuel costs $54 per barrel to process and sells for $60 per barrel and there is a market demand for 25,000 barrels per day. Formulate an LP model (Do Not Solve) to find the amount of each crude that should be processed per day for maximum profit Question: What are the constraints (if any)? Table 1.
