Hello,

I am currently working on an engineering design project that consists of building a prototype for visually impaired or blind people in public bathrooms.

The project would consist of two attached lights, a UV light as well as an LED equipped with a turbine to rotate between them according. Further to fulfill the function, the prototype would be connected to a motion sensor responsible for detecting the presence of an individual in the bathroom.

So, to put it into perspective, when a person comes into the bathroom the motion sensor detects his or her presence then turn on the LED light. The LED light would decrease the contrast of light an facilitate a better experience for visually impaired individuals. After utilizing and exiting the bathroom, the turbine would rotate to the UV light which would clean all surfaces in the bathroom and thereby decreasing the spread of germs.

Would it be possible to develop a simple MATLAB code both for the sensor and the light?The code would basically detect the presence of a person in the bathroom and flip between the UV and LED lights accordingly.

Please provide a detailed explanation.
