1. Bureaucracy's goal is to build rationality and efficiency into organizations. If this is the case, why are most of us think of bureaucracy as a bad thing? Why do you think that "bureaucracy" is blamed so often for encouraging gross inefficiency and irrational behavior and outcomes, the exact opposite of its intended goal?Do you have a story of bureaucracy making things difficult for you?
