me come up with a covering report for the case of assault causing actual bodily harm This report pertains to a case of assault causing actual bodily harm, contrary to Section 251 of the Penal Code. The facts surrounding this case are as follows: On 8th September 2024,at around 1700 hours,the complainant Rose Chemutai Bett was at kamwosor center conversing with other men when one brimin Kipruto came at his back and held his shoulder . as she turned to see what was happening,the accused held her neck and strated strangling her. Rose tried to remove his handsfrom her neck but brimin kicked her and she fell to the ground. At that time,one young man namely kipsang saw him went to her rescue. Kipsang held brimin sending him away. The complainant then proceeded to metkei police station where she reported the matter. The incident was officially booked at Metkei Police Station under OB number 11/08/09/2024 at 1735 hours. Following the report, Rose Chemutai Bett was referred to Kamwosor Subcounty Hospital for medical treatment. A P3 form was issued to the victim to document her injuries. The medical practitioner who attended to the complainant recorded the degree of injury as "harm" . Statements from the victim and witnesses were recorded to aid the investigation. Together with other officers, I arrested the accused and charged him accordingly
