Mikael is visited by a temporary acquaintance, Pernilla. Pernilla attacks Mikael with a knife for no reason. Mikael tries to escape by running down to the garage. Pernilla catches up with him, at the same time as Mikael manages to get his weapon (pistol) out of the weapon cabinet. He has a license for the weapon. Pernilla raises the knife and measures a stab at Mikael in his chest height. Mikael fires a shot that hits Pernilla in the head. Pernilla dies immediately as a result of the gunshot.
