Scenario: A study by Blackwell, Trzesniewski, and Dweck (2007) measured mindset of junior high students at the beginning of 7th grade, as well as these students' final grade in Math at the end of that year (7th grade). Mindset was divided into three groups: those who had mostly growth mindset beliefs, those with some growth mindset and some fixed mindset beliefs (mixed), and those with mostly fixed mindset beliefs.

The raw scores for each final Math grade in 7th grade for 10 randomly selected students from each of the three different mindset groups (N = 30) are provided in Table 1. Copy the table so that you can use it to do the Sum of Squares calculations. The sum for each group and the total is provided in the table. QUESTION 1 : Compute the Between Groups Sum of Squares.

Include two numbers after the decimal point. 1096.07 IS INCORRECT AND NOT THE ANSWER. QUESTION 2 : Compute the Between Groups Mean Square.

Include two numbers after the decimal point. 584.04 IS INCORRECT AND NOT THE ANSWER QUESTION 3 : Determine the mean difference for each pair of means.

Include one number after the decimal point, and don't forget to include the negative sign!

  1. What is the difference between the means for the Growth Mindset group compared to (minus) the Mixed Mindset group? -14.7 IS INCORRECT AND NOT THE ANSWER 2. What is the difference between the means for the Growth Mindset group compared to (minus) the Fixed Mindset group? -5.8 IS INCORRECT AND NOT THE ANSWER 3. What is the difference between the means for the Mixed Mindset group compared to (minus) the Fixed Mindset group? 8.9 IS INCORRECT AND NOT THE ANSWER QUESTION 4 : Which of the following are significantly different from each other based on the critical mean difference value that you just calculated (Tukey's HSD): Choose all that apply. Group of answer choices :

The means for the Growth Mindset group are significantly different than the means for the Fixed Mindset group.

The means for the Mixed Mindset group are significantly different than the means for the Fixed Mindset group.

The means for the Growth Mindset group are significantly different than the means for the Mixed Mindset group.
