Miscellaneous Assignment: Doing a little Research

Choose three definitions of AI found in popular literature.

For each definition, cite your source, provide a reasonable paragraph for the definition, and then provide a reasonable paragraph explaining why you think the the AI is being described as THINKING HUMANLY, THINKING RATIONALLY, ACTING HUMANLY, or ACTING RATIONALLY.

Sources for your definitions could be from books, short stories, movies, wikipedia, a google search, whatever. The definitions should be from three different sources.

Hints:

• I'm not asking for a research paper.
• There are many possible definitions, the purpose here is to get you to think a little more deeply about what AI means.
• This assignment should be an easy one to get you started on the semester.
