Mobileye 2021: Robotaxi and/or Consumer AV?

1) Optimistic predictions for the rollout of autonomy vehicles have been famously wrong. Looking backwards, why have AVs been so hard to build and roll-out?

2) Look forward to 2026, outline your vision for the future of robotaxis? What can technology deliver over the next five years? Will robotaxis be a big business? Profitable? Global? Niche? What are the barriers to adoption? Can they be overcome? Etc.

3) Evaluate Mobileyes strategy for robotaxis: assess Mobileyes approach to technology, REM and RSS strategy, and mobility-as-a-service.

4) Should Mobileye CEO Shashua recommend to Intels new CEO to: Invest billions of dollars to build-out a global, vertically integrated robotaxi business? Use robotaxis as an opportunity to learn and then revert back to a horizontal supplier of AV chips and software? Do both?

5) What should Gelsinger do?
