The objective of this module's assignment is to provide a baseline for video group presentation skills. This assignment requires you to work in a team and use the interpersonal skills discussed in this module and feedback you received from the individual video presentation in Module 1. To get started on the video, there are two useful links below: Link: Tips for Video Presentations for this Module Tips Team Presentation.pptx Link: How to Create Video Presentation with Power Pointe Directions: Your team is Rider Associates, a consulting firm, that specializes in leadership and interpersonal skills development. Your target clients are organizations such as accounting firms that have technical type professionals. Since many firms are still working remotely, your firm has been invited to make a video presentation to a potential client concerning the importance of interpersonal (soft) skills in the accounting profession. The purpose of the presentation is to have the potential client sign on to your consulting firm as a client. Each team should choose a few of the topics presented in the videos in this module to present. Examples of topics include, but are not limited to EQ vs. IQ, non-verbal communication with clients, active listening to clients during meetings or marketing presentations, what and how you talk (vocal traits), civility and polish in the workplace, or best practices of working remotely (more important now than ever). As part of your proposal: 1) convey the message that strong interpersonal skills are important to success in the profession, and 2) recommend how your consulting firm's soft-skill professional development program could benefit their new staff. There are two links above. The first provides tips specific to this assignment and the second is how to record a video presentation using Power Point. FYI- The assignment is not to prepare a summary of all soft-skills. The maximum length is 10 minutes and each group member should be included in the presentation or contribute to the presentation.
