Module 3 Journal Entry Part 2 Earlier this week I was assigned to conduct an audit of Microsoft Teams usage in the organization against the best suggested practice. This opportunity was a very good exposure for me to understand about Microsoft Teams platform in deep as well as a chance to test and improve my report writing and research skills. For this task the skills I have identified I posses through SFIA assessment like Research, Methods and Tools, Audit were very handy. For this task I searched and reviewed credible and reliable information resources especially resources from Microsoft. Through this I found out a structured best practices for Teams suggested by Microsoft, making that guidelines as my base of audit I tried to compared different attributes of Teams usage in our organization which gave me some vital insights. I then documented the insights and presented before my supervisor. An example of findings of my audits, most of the Teams group's roles were assigned randomly which directly poses security risk as many of the user assigned with Owner role of the group were no more working with the organization. For this a recommendation to assign Owner role of each group to ICT department's service account was made. This recommendation was based on best practice suggested by Microsoft. I also documented the entire process so that it could be used as reference for any Teams audit that will be carried out in days to come. During this task I was able to determine the level of responsibility for SFIA professional skills that were assigned for me to carry out this task. For instance, I was assigned Level 3 of skill code AUDT. At level 3 of Skill code AUDT a structured approach is adopted to execute and document audit fieldwork, following agreed standard and risk indicators are identified and preventive measure are explained. I think being able to determine this, will further help me to present my experience in more managed and structured way in my Resume and to my probable employer in days to come.
