Module 5: Entity/Attribute Assignment 20 Possible Points Due: Mon Mar 6, 2023 11:59pm IN PROGRESS Next Up: Submit Assignment Available until May 5, 2023 11:59pm Details You are tasked with capturing the necessary information to build the entity relationship diagram, and then create the database. The company has multiple offices, including a couple that are in other countries. What information will you need for each office? The company has asked us to track some of the simple employee data as well. You need to track which store an employee is at, their job title, and who the report to. Each employee does have an employee id. What other information should you have about each employee? There are several product lines. Each of the product lines has an image, a description, and the HTML version of the description so the web site can be updated based on this databe. Each of the Product line has several products. The various products each have a set of values: product code, product name, product line, product scale, product vendor, product description, quantity in stock, price, and manufacturer suggested retail price. Obviously, you need to track customers. In addition, each customer will have a unique customer id, a sales representative, and a credit limit. What information do you need to track for each customer? Orders will be placed by a customer. Each order will have an order number, an order date, required date (when the customer needs to item), a shipped date, a current status, any necessary comments. Each order is associated with a specific customer. The details of an order - such as order number, product code, quantity ordered, price each, and order line number - have to be tracked as well. As customers make a payment on an order, you need to track the amount of the payment, the payment date, and the credit card number (you are going to assume all payments are with a credit card). The assignment At this point you are NOT worried about relationships. You have to create the entities and assign attributes first. 1. Decide what entities you would create for this database. 2. What attributes would you assign to each entity?
