Module 6: Discussion: Achieving Success in Operations Management Discussion Topic These are some steps operations managers can take to begin the process of improvement and change in their organizations. By applying their knowledge, they can achieve better results quickly. These steps are: 1. Learn as much as possible about the organization, and develop a list of the high-priority problems that it faces. 2. Innovate and challenge the status quo. 3. Comprehensively analyze and improve everything, using a mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive (MECE) approach. 4. Always look for analytical or quantitative approaches to problems. 5. Measure everything important, graphically, in scorecards. Consider something within your organization that could be improved. Based upon the five steps listed above, how would you go about making a change in your organization? Be sure to support your conclusions with facts from the readings and/or video assignments. Link theory to practice in your comments by relating your personal perspective with the information you have read or watched. As you respond to your colleagues' posts be sure to critique the responses to assist your colleagues in being successful in leading change in their organizations.ion.ched.
