A 0.35-kg ball was at rest before it was hit by a 0.40-kg ball at a velocity of 5.0 m/s to the left. After the collision, both balls were stuck together. At what velocity did they move and to what direction? 3. A 100-g marble was moving to the right at a velocity of 5.0 m/s and collided with a 30.0-g marble moving in the opposite direction at a velocity 3.0 m/s. If the heavier marble stopped moving after the collision, at what velocity did the other marble move and to what direction? 4. After a collision with a 0.70-kg object moving to the right at 3.0 m/s, a 0.20-kg object moving in the same direction at a velocity of 2.0 m/s slowed down at 1.0 m/s. a) What is the velocity of the other object after the collision and to what direction did it move? b) Illustrate the positions of the objects before and after the collision.
