Most people would agree that there certainly is no deficit of violence in today's society. We are bombarded with both real-life and fictional depictions of violence in the news, TV programs, movies, and in video games.
But what impact is it having on us as a society? Is it contributing to increasingly violent and aggressive behavior? Does learning occur by imitation?Psychologist Albert Bandura thought so and even in the 1960's he was concerned about the effect of media violence on behavior.
