Mr. X was sitting at the airport terminal lounge. A foreigner sitting beside him left his bag containing US $500,000. When the foreigner left, Mr. X took the bag and upon reaching home he opened the bag and found the crisp US $500,000 money. Instead of returning to the owner the money, he kept it and brought the money at the casino. He played poker and won the same amount. He converted the winning chips to Philippine Peso in the amount of P25 million. He requested to be issued with manager's check and have it deposited ats the Philippine bank disclosing that the source of money came from his winning from casino by showing the issued manager' 5 check by the casino owner.
