Brands in the United States are beginning to follow suit as they recognize the importance of privacy to consumers. Google recently announced that they are working to ban third-party cookie tracking from their Chrome browser by 2022.

Apple is also working to protect consumer privacy when using their phones. Their latest iPhone update works to ensure that consumers know what behaviors are being tracked and allowing users to opt out or block sites and apps from tracking them.
