Her coldsymptoms are now resolved, but she continues to have shortness ofbreath and some coughing throughout the day, especially when she isat softball practice or exercising. She had similar symptoms 1 yearago when she had an upper respiratory infection. At that time, sheused an inhaler \"for a few days\" and the problem went away.=

Medical Hx: She has no significant past medicalhistory. She had her appendix removed at age 16 and experienced nocomplications.

Psychosocial: She has never smoked cigarettesor used smokeless tobacco, denies vaping. She is sexually activewith 1 male partner and uses condoms and birth control forSTI/pregnancy prevention. LMP (last menstrual period) was 6/12/21and regular. Client is a full-time college student and will begraduating in ~6 months. Her biological family history is unknownbecause she was adopted.

Allergies: No known medicine, food, orenvironmental allergies.

Medications: Birth control pill – 1 tablet bymouth daily.

You determine that the priority system to evaluate Ms. Mayowould be her respiratory system. You ask questions about hersymptoms surrounding shortness of breath for her HPI as well asquestions regarding her respiratory and cardiovascular systems toinclude on her review of systems.
